Hi, I'm Hans

I build things, break them and tell you what I learned.

I'm Hans. I build software products from scratch and share the whole process: what works, what doesn't, and the decisions I made with no idea whether they were right.

What I'm building

Two brands, two ways of building

One is an agency that digitises businesses from the inside; the other, a product for a specific industry. Almost everything I write comes out of one of the two.

  • Automotive aftersales

    Kiumec

We digitise automotive aftersales: AI-assisted diagnostics, traceability and tools designed for the real workshop. On every work order the team gets ranked causes, recommended steps and components to check based on the vehicle's data, instead of depending on the senior mechanic's eye.

  • Digital transformation

    Devlanzer

A digital transformation agency applying AI to businesses: custom systems, process automation and the digital presence a company needs to grow. A team in Antofagasta that works as a technology partner, end to end.

Writing

What I write about

Three topics, and all of them come out of things I'm doing right now. If I haven't lived it, I don't write it.

  • Building in public

How I validate an idea, what I kill, what I keep, and what it really costs to reach the first customer.

  • Product and technology

Technical decisions explained without the smoke: why I picked one thing over another, and where it ended up costing me.

  • Actually building a company

The part that doesn't make it to LinkedIn: money, co-founders, hiring, firing, and the weeks when nothing moves.

Courses

I'm working on something

I want to put together short courses on the same things I write about: how to get from an idea to something that works, no detours and no textbook theory.

Nothing is published yet. When it is, you'll see it here first.

About

Hans Allende

Hans Allende

Founder & Entrepreneur

I'm a founder. I've spent years building software, mostly learning as I go and getting things wrong in public.

Today I split my time between a software studio, a couple of my own products, and a few experiments that may go nowhere. I'm more interested in the problem than in the technology: the hard part is almost never building it, it's working out what needed building.

I write here to sort out my own head. If it happens to help someone else, even better.

Let's talk

If you're building something, have a question, or just want to talk, write to me. I answer.
